Ketamine Treatment

“Ketamine is an effective medication that helps patients suffering from depression, and other mental health challenges. A patient told me that during therapy he felt like he had a boulder in front of him and he could not get around it. After completing ketamine treatment, he said the boulder was there, but he could move it and it was no longer blocking his progress. That’s why ketamine therapy is most effective with one of our ketamine therapists guiding the treatment. I have seen a lot of patients make break throughs in their mental health therapy once they started ketamine. Some patients were able to stop medication, stop therapy, and just come in occasionally for a boost every few months.

Ketamine is a safe medication. There is also always a medical doctor monitoring the entire treatment and when undergoing ketamine assisted therapy there is also a therapist in the room. Ketamine is a dissociative drug that helps the patient reach a dream state where they are still fully conscious, aware of what’s going on around them, and can participate in therapy. The trip lasts about an hour to an hour and a half. All patients are welcome to stay in their rooms until they are medically cleared and feel comfortable enough to leave.

Ketamine is a safe, and effective tool to get the most out of your therapy. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us and we will be happy to answer any and all questions."

"Therapy is about finding new understandings of yourself that modify long-standing feelings and patterns - even those that seem impossible to change. To do this effectively, you need to be able to see things in a new way, not just rehash old ways of seeing things. This is what makes ketamine-assisted therapy a gold standard for mental health issues that are resistant to traditional talk therapy and medications: Ketamine is a powerful antidepressant that provides an altered state of consciousness, catalyzing your work with a therapist towards real progress, in real-time."
